So, I’ve had a lot of health/fitness goals for the majority of my life. Now that I’m graduated, I have a lot more time to focus on developing better habits. I’ve decided to blog about my journey here on tumblr to keep me accountable. These posts will record what I eat, what I did to work out, how I’m feeling, why I skipped if I did, etc.
I’ll try to post these at the end of the night, maybe with pictures if I’m feeling particularly ambitious. This first one has to be done right now though so I can crash after my workout.
Meals:
Breakfast: Greek yogurt with honey, rasperries, blueberries, blackberries, and granola.
Lunch: Peach, banana, mango smoothie from syrajuice.
Dinner: Balsamic chicken breast sandwich with avocado, bell pepper, and a side of broccoli.
Post-work out snack (maybe): water with chia seeds!
Workout:
Insanity Day 2 (with my weirdo boss and his friends)
Yoga (30 minute session post insanity)
Other than the fact I’m worried about the exam I’m studying for, I’m getting excited to start my workout regimen again. I’d really like to get up to go running tomorrow so for the love of god I hope I wake up on time…
1. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
2. What others think of you is none of your business.
3. Time heals almost everything, give it time.
4. Don’t compare your life to others and don’t judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
5. Stop thinking too much, it’s alright not to know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it.
6. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.
7. Smile. You don’t own all the problems in the world.
I’ve been trying to make an effort to be more optimistic and not over think as much, but people make it so difficult. You’d think that those who care about you would want to spend more time with you, but I guess I’m proving to not be important enough.
I feel like I hardly covered anything, in just 10 panels. If, having read this, you think, “but you forgot to mention _____,” just stay tuned. I’m fairly certain there will be a Part Two, where I will cover such topics as the the Cascadia movement, the Barefoot Bandit, and why we HATE Oregon gas stations.

RY I CAN’T WAIT TO GO TO THERE
I know how to pronounce geoduck thanks to Mike Rowe.
I was the Geoduck girl in my school’s Washington State centennial play. Also I grew up in Eastern Washington. It’s actually growing commercially now, there’s more culture, actual comic book shops.
There was nothing but Mad Max wasteland and farmland when I was growing up.Instead of meth, I just drew a lot. A LOT. It’s boring out in the boonies, the people are crazy, but I still love them.
Ok, all true and accurate, except that I ain’t ever seen a Frango chocolate, I don’t know what that is. But Seattle does have the local 3400 Phinney line of chocolate bars, the best of which is Bread & Chocolate. It is the most delicious thing on the planet. I kid not.
Also, Ivar’s.
I lived in Eastern Washington for 8 years and I can tell you that everything people in Seattle assume about it? absolutely true. especially the meth part.
ha ha I hope ivar’s is in the next one.
if you never have had a northwestern frango you are missing outfucking dying over pronunciation rules XD NIGHTMARE MODE
